1956 Buddy L, No. 5892 Double Hydraulic Self-Loader 'N Dump in Original Box
Magnificent pressed steel Double Hydraulic Self-Loader 'N Dump from Buddy L. Brilliant, unused store stock in near mint to mint condition complete with original box and insert. Extraordinary double hydraulic system independently operates the rear dump mechanism from the front scooper. Massive truck measuring just over two feet long (scoop lowered). It weighs a hefty 10 pounds. Sparkling forest green cab, sunshine yellow scoop, and bright orange trailer. Features two separate hydraulic cylinders which are controlled using the levers located on the left side of the truck. Each lever has its original rubber tip. In addition, the hinged tailgate automatically opens as the the dump bed raises. The truck has 10 heavy tread rubber tires, with dual and tandem in the rear. The outermost tires all have silvery painted spokes and a chrome plated domed center metal hub. It also has a one piece chrome plated headlight and grille assembly. It also has three large decals (all original); one on either side of the dump bed and a third inside the center of the scoop. The original box is printed with the name and catalog number of the truck. It still has a section from the original shipping label on one end. One set of endflaps is still factory sealed. Also included is it's huge original insert (not pictured). The insert protected it from rubbing against the inside of the box. Size: 25½" x 8½" x 7". Sold: Nov. 2005
